Many verses are explicit and muhkam (qath'i) Kitabullah in a noble, to provide advice to fasting as a means to taqarrub to Allah 'Azza wa Jalla and also explain the virtue-keutamaannya, such as the word GOD (which means): "Indeed, Muslims and muslimat, mukminat and the Believers, men are docile and dutiful women are, and men and women the right (faith) and the men and women who patiently (ketaatannya), and men and women who khusyu ', and men and women who give charity, and the men and women yan fast, and men and women of honor guard (birahinya lust), and men and women who remember Allah much, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward "[A -Ahzab: 35]

And the word GOD (which means): "And if you fast, but it is better for you if you know them" [Al-Baqarah: 184].

He Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam has been explained in the hadith shahih that fasting is a stronghold of lust, shielded from the Fire. God Tabaraka wa Ta'ala has set the door of heaven for one who fasts. Fasting can be the soul of syahwatnya, menahannya customs of the ugly, to be a quiet life. This is a great reward, a noble virtue; described in detail in the hadith-hadith shahih following, described with a perfect explanation.

1. Fasting is a Shield [Guardian]
He Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam told people who have strong syahwatnya and have not been able to get married so fast, make it as wijaa' [decided] to orgasm, as strong, holding fast to the body member can be controlled, calm the whole body of members, and all the power ( the ugly) can hold up to obey and be fast with fetters. He Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam said that heaven was covered with things that do not groove, and covered with Fire orgasm. He Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam said (which means): "Fasting is a shield, with a servant berperisai from the Fire" [Historical Hadits Ahmad 3 / 241, 3 / 296 from Jabir, Ahmad 4 / 22 and Utsman bin Abil' Ash. This is a hadith which shahih].

He and Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam said (which means): "Whoever fasted a day in the way of Allah, then in between him and hell have a trench width as the heavens with the earth" [Issued by Tirmidzi no. 1624 Abi Umamah of the hadith, and in sanadnya have weaknesses. Al-Walid bin Jamil, he was honest, but often wrong, but in akan acceptable. And issued by the At-Thabrani in Al-Kabir 8 / 260, 274, 280 of the two roads from Al-Qasim's Umamah Abi. And in the chapter of Abi Darda ', issued by the Ath-Thabrani in the Ash-Shagir 1 / 273 in it there is a weakness. So this hadith Shahih].

Some ahlul ilmi have to understand that the hadith-hadith is a fast explanation of virtue when jihad and fight in the way of Allah. However, this hadith dhahir include all fasting if done with the sincere hope that Allah Ta'ala face, in accordance with what he described Shallallahu 'alaihi wassalm including fasting in the way of Allah (as mentioned in this hadith).

Bukhari in history (mentioned) (which means): "Leave to eat, drink and fasting because syahwatnya for me, and I will respond, with the tit for ten times that with such"

Muslim in the history (which means): "All the practice bani Adam akan dilipatgandakan, tit for a ten-fold that such behavior, up to seven hundred times. Allah Ta'ala said: "Except for fasting, because fasting is for Me and I will respond, he (bani Adam) syahwatnya and leave the food because I am" For those who have two fasting excitement; happy and excited when berbuka met when Rabbnya . Truly, the smell of the mouth of fasting in the sight of Allah is better than the fragrant smell misk "

6. Fasting and the Qur'an Al-Syafa'at Giving To experts on the Day of Resurrection

7. Fasting For Kafarat
Among the specialty that is not fast in practice is another, as God makes kafarat the person who cut the hair of his head (during Hajj) because there udzur illness or disease in the head, for kaparat can not afford to give sacrifice, kafarat for the murderer who disbelieve that have agreements cancel because of an oath, or kill animals that prey on the ground and, as a unlawful kafarat zhihar. Akan clearly in the verses following.

Allah Ta'ala said (which means): "And olehmu complete the Hajj and` Umrah for Allah, if ye are prevented (by the enemy or are sick), he should slaughter a sacrifice easily obtained. And do not you shaved your head, to sacrifice it to the place penyembelihannya. If there diantaramu the sick or there is interference in his head (he bercu chick), the obligatory upon berfidyah, namely fasting or meal or berkurban. If you have (feel) secure, then for who want to do `Umrah before Hajj (pilgrimage in the month), (wajiblah he slaughtered) that is easy to sacrifice in the can. But if he does not find (or animal sacrifice could not afford), he should fast three days during Hajj and seven days (again) if you have back home. That is (fidyah obligation to pay) for those who are not keluargannya (around) Masjidil Haram (the people who are not residents of Makkah). And fear Allah and know that Allah is strict in punishment "[al-Baqarah: 196]

Allah Ta'ala also said (which means): "And if he (the slain) from the (unbelievers) that there is agreement (peace) between them with you, (let the murderer) to pay blood money (fines) given to her family (belonged to) and liberate the slaves sahaya believers. Whoever does not, then let (the murderer) fast two consecutive months as a means of repentance to God. Allah is Knower, Wise "[An-Nisaa ': 92]

Allah Ta'ala said (which means): "God does not punish you because of swearing oaths-that does not mean (to witness), but He will take you because of your oath-swearing that you deliberately, then kafarat (violate) the oath is to feed ten poor people, that is from the food you normally give to your family, or clothes to give them a free or slave. Whoever is not able to do so, they kafaratnya fasting for three days. That is kafarat-swearing oaths when you swear (and you Langgar). And guard your oaths. Thus Allah explains to you the laws of his order that you give thanks (to Him) "[Al-Maarij: 89]

Allah Ta'ala said (which means): "People who menzhihar their wives and they would take back what they say, the (mandatory upon) set free a slave before the couple was mixed. Thus taught to you, and Allah is Informed of what ye do. Whoever does not get the (slave), then (mandatory upon) fast two consecutive months before they touch one another. So who is not the power (over compulsory) feed sixty poor people. Thus in order that ye believe in Allah and His Messenger. And that the laws of God, and for the unbelievers there is a very grievous punishment "[al-Mujaadiliah: 3-4]

Similarly, fasting and can eliminate shadaqah slander a man's property, family and children. From Hudzaifah Ibnul Yemen Radhiyallahu 'anhu, Rasulullah Shallallahu' alaihi wa Sallam said (which means): "Defamation men in the family (wife), and neighboring property, can be eliminated by prayer, fasting and shadaqah" [Bukhari Hadith History 2 / 7, Muslim 144]

8. Ar Rayyan Fasting For People
Of Sahl bin Sa'ad Radhiyallahu 'anhu, the Prophet's Shallallahu' alaihi wa Sallam (that he) said (which means): "Verily in Paradise there is a door called Rayyan, those who fast will enter it later in the day of Resurrection from the door, there is no person other than those who entered. If you have entered terkahir people who are fasting ditutuplah door. Whoever will go to drink, and drink that he will not feel hungry for ever "[Bukhari Hadith History 4 / 95, Muslim 1152, and additional lafadz the final in the history Khuzaimah in Ibn shahihnya 1903]

Is sufficient for you that it is one of the requirements of faith. Alla Ta'ala said.
